White frame around a photo
A 1,200 × 800 image with a 24-pixel outside border becomes 1,248 × 848. The original photo remains at full size in the center.
Give a photo a clean solid-color frame. Add the border outside the image to keep all source pixels visible, or draw it inside the existing edges to keep the original dimensions. Export a finished PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
Up to 12 images, 20 MB per file, 24 megapixels per image; 60 MB and 48 megapixels per batch. SVG is not accepted. GIF and animated formats export as still images.
Maximum output: 32 megapixels per image, 64 megapixels / 64 MB per batch. Newly encoded downloads may lose metadata and color profiles.
Selected files are processed in your browser. This tool does not upload image bytes or fetch remote image URLs. Clear the tool to release its local image previews.
Choose one image or a batch of images.
Enter the border thickness in pixels and choose a color.
Select inside borders if you want to keep the original canvas size.
Generate the borders, inspect the previews, and download the images.
A 1,200 × 800 image with a 24-pixel outside border becomes 1,248 × 848. The original photo remains at full size in the center.
Apply a 6-pixel inside border to a 400 × 400 thumbnail. The output stays 400 × 400, while the outermost photo pixels are covered by the frame.
An outside border adds the chosen thickness on all four sides. Output width is source width plus twice the thickness; height follows the same rule. Transparent source areas remain transparent in PNG and WebP output.
An inside border is drawn over the photo along all four sides. Thickness must be less than half the shortest source edge, ensuring that part of the image remains visible. This does not crop or rescale the photo.
Border thickness is measured in image pixels, not CSS pixels or physical print units. The same 24-pixel border appears proportionally heavier on a 400-pixel image than on a 4,000-pixel image. Batch settings apply the same absolute thickness to every file.
No. It expands the canvas and places the unscaled photo inside the frame.
This tool uses one solid color and one thickness on all four sides.
The color picker selects a solid color. Source transparency can remain in PNG or WebP, but the added border itself is opaque.
The tool checks the final dimensions and pixel count before allocating the output canvas and asks for a smaller border or image.
