A small pixel-art badge
Try a simple icon at 24 beads across with four colors. Strong outlines and large blocks of color survive reduction more clearly than photo textures.
Plan a photo or illustration as a square-grid bead design. Adjust the bead width and color limit, or enter your own palette. Download the complete preview, readable chart tiles, and counts for every color. All image processing happens locally in your browser.
A custom palette replaces automatic colors. IDs are generic and do not claim a DMC, Perler, or Hama match. Transparent pixels blend onto white. Height follows the image ratio, up to 160 rows.
Upload a simple image or try the flower example. Generate again after changing width or colors.
Uses your local image, your optional custom palette, and an original browser-drawn flower example. No external bead-color dataset is included.
Upload a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF, or load the original flower example.
Choose 8–120 beads across and 2–32 automatic colors. Optionally enter your own hex palette.
Select Generate pattern after changing settings. Check the width, height, and number of beads for each generic color.
Download the bead PNG, symbol PDF, or count CSV. Compare the colors with your physical supplies before assembling.

A 60 by 80 pattern needs 4,800 beads before spares. Divide each dimension by the usable peg count of your own boards and round up to estimate how many boards span the rectangle.
The source image is resized to the chosen bead width. Height follows its aspect ratio, up to 160 rows; very tall images may be compressed. Transparent areas blend onto white and become bead cells. Crop the background first if you do not want a solid rectangle. This tool does not create holes or shaped pegboard outlines.
Automatic colors come from RGB clustering of the reduced image. A simple image can use fewer colors than the selected maximum. Entering 2–32 hex colors replaces automatic selection and maps each cell to the closest listed RGB color. Unused custom colors remain in the legend with a zero count.
Legend IDs identify screen colors, not commercial bead codes. No Perler, Hama, or other manufacturer palette is bundled. Displays, lighting, and bead finishes change how colors look. Compare your physical beads with the desired design before buying supplies. Add your own spare-bead allowance; the counts include exactly one bead per cell.
The PNG shows round beads with holes. The PDF uses colored square cells with symbols so neighboring shades are easier to distinguish. Tiles contain up to 30 columns by 40 rows and state their one-based row and column ranges. They use 6 mm chart cells and are not calibrated pegboard templates. Follow your bead manufacturer’s handling and fusing instructions.
No. Colors use generic IDs and RGB hex codes. You may enter your own measured or documented palette, but the generator makes no manufacturer color-equivalence claim.
No. It uses 6 mm cells for legibility. Actual peg and bead spacing varies. Read it as a counted chart.
No. Each grid cell is one bead. Add your own allowance for losses and repairs.
This version supports rectangular square-grid patterns only. It does not simulate hexagonal boards, connectors, or heat-fusing results.
