Quarter-inch school paper
Choose US Letter, square grid, and the ¼ inch preset. With a 10 mm minimum margin, the exact 6.35 mm spacing produces 30 columns and 40 rows.
Choose the grid spacing, page size, margins, and color for your next sheet of graph paper. Download a physical-size PDF for printing or a PNG for digital projects. Square, dot, and isometric styles are generated directly from mathematical geometry.
Use Actual size (100%) and turn off Fit to page. PDF dimensions are physical millimeters; PNG is for digital use. A printer may clip margins below its printable area. Isometric spacing is the horizontal triangle side.
215.9 × 279.4 mm · 39 columns × 51 rows · 5 mm spacing
Generated locally from page dimensions and grid geometry. No uploads or external datasets are required.
Choose A4 or US Letter and portrait or landscape orientation.
Select square, dot, or isometric paper. Enter millimeter spacing or use the quarter-inch and eighth-inch presets.
Choose a minimum margin and grid color. Square paper can emphasize every fifth line.
Download the PDF, print at Actual size or 100%, and check a few intervals with a ruler.
Choose US Letter, square grid, and the ¼ inch preset. With a 10 mm minimum margin, the exact 6.35 mm spacing produces 30 columns and 40 rows.
Choose A4 and dot grid at 5 mm. The dots form a regular rectangular lattice from the top and left margins. Use a darker color if your printer loses pale dots.
Isometric spacing describes the horizontal triangle side. Neighboring horizontal rows are that side multiplied by the square root of three divided by two apart.
A4 pages are 210 by 297 mm. US Letter pages are 215.9 by 279.4 mm. The PDF stores page and grid coordinates in millimeters. An inch is exactly 25.4 mm, so the quarter-inch and eighth-inch presets use 6.35 mm and 3.175 mm. Printer drivers can still rescale output; turn off Fit and Shrink when measured spacing matters.
Square and dot grids start at the requested top and left margin. They stop at the last full interval that fits inside the minimum margins, leaving any remainder on the right or bottom. The spacing is never stretched to fill the sheet. Isometric lines are clipped to the margin rectangle instead of ending at the last complete triangle.
Minor lines are 0.1 mm thick. Heavier square-grid lines are 0.25 mm and occur every fifth interval. Dots have a 0.22 mm radius. Those sizes remain fixed in the PDF, while the on-screen preview scales to your display. A pale color leaves room for pen marks; a darker color is better for copying or low-contrast printers.
The PNG is drawn at approximately 150 pixels per inch for the chosen paper size. Image applications may ignore resolution metadata or choose their own print scaling. Use the PDF when square size matters. Neither format can calibrate a printer that stretches horizontal and vertical dimensions differently, so measure a sample before relying on it for scaled drawings.
Use the ¼ inch preset, download the PDF, and print at Actual size or 100%. Four squares should span one inch. Inspect printer scaling if they do not.
Yes. Enter 2–25.4 mm. Inch presets preserve their exact metric conversions instead of rounding to whole millimeters.
Square and dot grids contain complete intervals. Unused space stays at the right and bottom rather than altering the spacing.
Margins must be at least 5 mm. Your printer may require more. Increase the margin if the outer grid clips.
