Pick calendar dates

ISO Gregorian dates are treated as UTC calendar days. Weekday filtering does not remove public holidays.

Results

Generate a schedule sample or a set of writing prompts.

Inputs and generated results are processed in your browser. These tools do not upload them or persist them in local storage. Copying or downloading creates a record you control.

Examples

Pick five weekday prompts

Choose a month, enable Monday through Friday only, and request five unique dates. Public holidays can still appear because only day-of-week filtering is applied.

Include leap day

Use February 28 through March 1, 2028. With no weekday restriction, February 29 is one of the three eligible dates.

Uniform over eligible dates

Each eligible calendar date receives equal probability. Months are not selected first; otherwise a day in a short month could be favored over a day in a longer month. With uniqueness enabled, each date can appear once in a batch.

UTC calendar-day semantics

Input values are dates rather than instants. The tool represents them internally at UTC midnight and computes weekday labels in UTC. Local time zones and daylight-saving shifts do not move a selected date into the previous or next day.

Business-day limits

Monday through Friday is a simple weekday filter, not a national business calendar. It does not know public holidays, school closures, or organization-specific workweeks. If the range contains no eligible dates, the tool explains that instead of silently relaxing the filter.

Common questions

Are both endpoint dates included?

Yes, provided the endpoint passes the selected weekday filter.

Can I ask for more unique dates than the range contains?

No. The tool reports the available count and asks you to expand the range, reduce the count, or allow duplicates.

Why are holidays still present?

The weekday filter removes only Saturdays and Sundays. It does not load regional holiday data.

Is this a random timestamp generator?

No. It produces date labels without hours, minutes, or local time-zone conversions.
