A quick warm-up
Start a five-question round across all regions. Use the review to identify the flags you want to study.
Identify real country flags in a multiple-choice quiz. Choose a world region, answer without a timer, and review every flag and country name when the round ends.
195 eligible countries. A round uses 10 different flags, with four answers drawn from the selected region.
195 countries: 193 UN members plus the Holy See and Palestine. Local SVG images from flag-icons (MIT) work even on devices without flag emoji support. Similar flags can be challenging; the quiz provides country names in the review.

Local SVG flag assets from flag-icons (MIT), with names and region labels adapted from mledoze/countries (ODbL 1.0). Scores stay in page memory.
Choose all regions or a single region, then choose the number of questions. A round cannot exceed the eligible country count.
Start the quiz and select one of four country names for each flag. The answer locks after your choice, and the correct answer appears.
Continue to the results, review missed flags, and copy your score and review. Play again for a newly shuffled round.
Start a five-question round across all regions. Use the review to identify the flags you want to study.
Select Oceania and All countries in region. Each eligible flag appears once during the round.
Copy the score and review after your first round, study the missed flags, and play again. Questions and answer positions are reshuffled.
The quiz uses 195 flags: those of the 193 United Nations members plus the Holy See and Palestine. Dependencies and other territories are excluded from the quiz. Region assignments follow mledoze/countries; Americas combines North and South America.
Each correct answer earns one point. There is no time penalty. Every flag in a round is unique, and the correct answer is mixed with three different distractors drawn from the selected region. Ending early counts unanswered questions as incorrect, and the review marks them as unanswered.
The images are bundled SVG assets from the MIT-licensed flag-icons project, displayed in its 4:3 format. The quiz does not depend on operating-system flag emoji. Some official flags have other proportions, so the quiz tests identification rather than exact official aspect ratios. The flags are a static snapshot, not a live record of flag changes.
Yes. Use Tab to reach the answer buttons, Enter or Space to select an answer, and the Next question button to advance. No timed response is required.
No. Flags are sampled without replacement for each round. A new round can include flags from an earlier one.
Several countries use closely related colors and designs. Check details such as symbols and stripe order. The review shows the image beside its country name.
The assets are bundled with the tool and require no third-party image host. The page and its assets must finish loading before use; this is not an installable offline app.
