A ten-foot board
10 international feet equals 3.048 meters exactly. Choose inches to see the same length as 120 inches.
Convert metric, US, and UK lengths and combine feet and inches. See equivalent values in every supported unit, control display precision, and export a conversion table.
International foot: exactly 0.3048 m. Historical US survey feet are not included.
Meters (m)
Display rounding does not change the calculation. Scientific notation keeps very small values visible; extra digits do not add measurement accuracy.

Enter whole feet and an inch remainder below 12. Useful for a height or a drawing dimension.
All entered measurements and calculations stay in this browser. No external API or uploaded dataset is used.
Enter a numeric value without a comma separator or unit suffix, then choose the source and destination units.
Read the main result and equivalent-unit table. Choose 3, 6, 9, or 12 significant digits for display; calculation constants are not rounded to match the display.
Use the combine feet and inches panel for the practical calculation. Restore its example independently from the converter.
Copy the conversion or task results, or download the displayed conversion table as a CSV. Clear removes the converter value.
10 international feet equals 3.048 meters exactly. Choose inches to see the same length as 120 inches.
5 feet 8 inches is 68 inches, or 172.72 centimeters. Use the feet-and-inches panel so 5.8 feet is not mistaken for 5 feet 8 inches.
The international foot is exactly 0.3048 meter, and an inch is exactly 0.0254 meter. The mile here is 5,280 international feet. A nautical mile is 1,852 meters. Historic survey measurements may use a different foot; check the original survey before converting coordinates.
A decimal foot is a fraction of a whole foot: 0.5 foot is 6 inches. The mixed-unit panel treats feet as a whole number and inches as the remaining part. It does not round to carpentry fractions or account for saw kerf.
Use a decimal point or scientific notation such as 1e3. Blank values, unit suffixes, separators, and nonfinite numbers are rejected. Input magnitudes above 1e100 or nonzero magnitudes below 1e-100 are outside the supported range. The table rounds only for presentation, so 12 displayed digits should not be interpreted as 12 digits of measurement accuracy. Binary floating-point calculations can differ from exact decimal arithmetic in the final digits.
Modern everyday US and UK measurements use the same international foot. The retired US survey foot is a separate historic unit and is excluded here.
Use a decimal such as 0.125 for one eighth, or scientific notation such as 1e3. Slash fractions, unit text, and comma separators are rejected.
